Whispering Pines offers guests a very quiet, simple,homey and relaxing place
to stay for a few evenings for travelers or for a week-end getaway. It's a perfect
location for star gazers or those who enjoy walking around enjoying nature's
bounties.
Ideally nestled on nearly 4 acres on the corner of Scully and Dwight Roads
amongst evergreens and cornfields and other flora and fauna with spectacular
sunrises and sunsets.
We serve great country breakfasts with an international touch. Some of the
recipes come from Chuck's grandparents and great grandparents who
immigrated from Scotland and Sweden.
To make your stay even more enjoyable, Whispering Pines provides one (1) gift
coupon to the guest (or guests) of each room for each night's stay, entitling
them to a $10.00 discount at Dwight Pizza for whatever they would like to
purchase. Dwight Pizza is two miles from our home, and almost within sight of
us. This restaurant offers excellent pizzas, sandwiches and salads - the best in
the area.
We are located near Interstate 55, the village of Dwight, and Illinois highway 47.
We are less than a mile from the Dwight airport, 2 miles north of Dwight, 20
miles south of Morris, and 36 miles from Joliet. Guests can ride Amtrak to
Dwight, to and from Chicago or board Amtrak or Metra in Joliet to and from
Chicago.
Hours of Operation: 4:00 P.M. Tuesday through 12:00 Noon Monday (closed on
Monday evenings).
